As part of its environmental policy, Golden Fresh is committed to sourcing palm oil used in the manufacturing process from sustainably responsible suppliers.
Our major supplier adopts the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Principles and Criteria as the basis for plantation management development, which advocates strict adherence to :
Following these policies, land development is confined to degraded or logged-over lands and unproductive wastelands are turned into productive plantations, at the same time delineating and protecting High Conservation Value Forests (HCVF).
In addition to subscribing to the RSPO Standards, our supplier is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNCG) and adheres to principles concerning the areas of human rights, labour, and the environment.
Our palm oil supplier has implemented its own Child Labour Policy, complying with guidelines stipulated by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Our supplier has gone a step further by integrating the RSPO and UNGC principles and requirements into the production and distribution processes as well as procurement practices.
Golden Fresh and our suppliers encourage and align with business partners who adopt industry best practices that are in line with these principles. Improvement is a continuous process; thus we continually strive towards achieving excellence in environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
